Under The Hood: 2016 Audi Q3 Quattro 2.0 TFSI - TestDriven.TV (Elsie Welch)
So I noticed that the cooling fan ran for a few minutes after I turned the car off today. I assumed that this was because the engine needed to cool down a bit so the fan stayed on and that was exactly what the dealer told me. The fan can run after the engine shuts off, but I've read about failures where the fan keeps running until the battery is dead.
So, by adding coolant, the fan won't stay on after you shut the engine off.
I did flash my bios version to the previous one, but the problem si still persist.
It was cool out, and I had only driven about a mile. I 've heard someone else on this forum says that radiator fan keeps running after engine shut off if the engine is HOT. many people said that. Yesterday when I turned off the car, the cooling fan ran yet for a bit.
