Yeah and don't use that little plastic key too often, audi says they wear out pretty quickly and aren't meant for repeated use. My latch mechanism inside the glove-box door stopped working the passenger-side latch. You are supposed to keep this key on you, in your purse or wallet.
You can open your door with the little plastic one than insert it in the plastic housing in the glove box.
I have devised a fix that doesn't require removing the whole glove box.

One of the hinges on my glove box snapped in half today. A bit irrelevant in any case as audi. This is a commonly broken part on interiors, leaving the glove box door hanging open and spilling the contents.
