You could try spraying some penetrating fluid into the glow plug hole, let it soak, then crank the engine over and hopefully the compression will force the remainder of the glowplug out. Remember to remove the fuel pump fuse to stop it from. I know there is a valve which Audi's have had an issue with which do exactly this.
Do this if you want to remove and replace diesel engine glow plugs.
Glow plugs are used in diesel engines to help heat the fuel in preparation for the combustion chamber when the engine is cold.
We put the bad plug back in until I could get a replacement plug. With Pat's help (and torque wrench) I saved myself from stripping or damaging the glowplug hole. Feel free to post your question here.
